VIPD Advises Motoring Public on Parking During Festival Night Parade

The Virgin Islands Police Department wishes to advise the motoring public of the following parking restrictions and street closings scheduled for the Crucian Christmas Festival Kick-Off Night Parade to be held on Sunday, Dec. 12, in Christiansted.
Parking Restrictions Effective 5 p.m. until the event is over, on Sunday, Dec. 12, the following parking restrictions will be in effect:
§ No parking on King Street, or Company Street from Market Street to the Wharf Area
§ No parking on Church Street, between King and Company Streets
§ No parking on Market Street, between King and Company Streets
§ No parking on Hospital Street, between King and Company Streets
§ No parking on Queen Street, between Queen Cross and King Cross Streets
§ Any vehicle found parked in the restricted areas will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense
§ Owners or drivers finding that his/her vehicle has been towed should contact the Ancilmo Marshall Command at 773-2530 for further information.
Vehicular Movement Restrictions
§ Vehicular traffic traveling eastward into Christiansted Town will be re-routed on to Market Street or north onto Smith Street towards Watergut.
§ The VIPD regrets any inconvenience these changes or restrictions might cause. It wishes the community a safe and enjoyable Crucian Christmas Festival Kick-Off Night Parade.
