Police on St. Croix are asking the community’s assistance in locating a white Ford pick-up truck that was involved in a hit-and-run auto accident Saturday. A 16-year-old female pedestrian was injured in the accident.
According to Traffic Investigation Bureau officers, at about 10 p.m. Saturday, a 16-year-old female was walking with two other people on the Queen Mary Highway in the vicinity of Estate Anna’s Hope. The pedestrians were walking east in the west bound lane when a white Ford pick-up that was traveling east crossed over to the west bound lane, struck the teenager and left the scene of the accident without stopping.
The victim was taken by ambulance and admitted into the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital with cuts and abrasions on her body and head.
Police are seeking the community’s assistance in locating the white Ford Pick-up truck that was involved in this accident.
