Head Start Has Father and Child Activity Day

The Department of Human Services’ Head Start program will host its third annual Father and Child Activity Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 15, at the Head Start Sugar Estate Complex. Fathers of children in the program are encouraged to spend the day with their children and engage in varied activities, including woodworking, container gardening, designing placemats and a photo shoot. They are also invited to participate in workshops emphasizing the importance of quality time, and they will each be awarded a T-shirt among other door
prizes. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
