YPN Showcases Local Entrepreneur at October Reception

The Young Professionals Network, a professional development organization and a committee of the Chamber of Commerce, will host its October reception, from 6-8 p.m., Friday, Oct. 23, at Hubbly Bubbly Hookah Lounge in Yacht Haven Grande. This is an occasion to socialize, network and showcase member Frantz Coulanges, who is the event and planning manager at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort and the creator of Painting with Pastels on WTJX.

YPN plans to participate in the 2009 AAF-USVI Charity Bowl-O-Rama from 4-7 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the VI Christian Ministries Bowling Center. Council members — Vernon Araujo, Kirstyn Nimmo, JeT’aime Cerge and Frank Robinson — will be bowling for United Way in competition with 18 teams bowling for other charitable organizations. The team with the highest combined score overall wins, and proceeds from the silent auction of bowling pins painted by 10 of the V.I.s most prestigious artists will be awarded to the winning team’s charity.
YPN hosted its October monthly beach cleanup Saturday, Oct. 11 in conjunction with the International Conservancy’s Coastal Cleanup Organization. It volunteered at United Way’s Project Homeless Connect by assisting with set-up on Oct. 15, and public relations for the event Oct.16.
Diageo USVI, Bellows International, Yacht Haven Grande and Ackley Media Group have been the official sponsors and proud supporters of the Young Professionals Network during the 2008-2009 year.
