
Ronie Richards, also known as “Inez,” died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, after a courageous battle with diabetes, at the age of 67. She was originally from Antigua.
She is survived by her husband,Royden Richards; sons:Tyrone Williams and Randy Richards; daughter, Jacklyn Williams; stepdaughters:Denise Archibald and Carlene Simmons; sister, Naomi Henry; brothers: Stratton, St. Clair and Raymond Williams, grandchildren:Donna Williams, Eric Williams, Rasheem and Rayana Richards; and great-grandchild, Nevaeh Newman. She is also survived by nieces:Curliter Roberts, Joycelyn Erskine-Williams, Maze and Daze Williams, Brittney Williams, Annmarie Williams, Candine Roberts, Daislyn Lewis, Glenda Jackson and Diarra Mack; nephews: Rupert, Junior, Randy, Jason and Claude Williams, Mario Simon, Veron Roberts, Neil, Dale and Glendon Jackson and Karanja Mack; daughter-in-law, Cheakena Richards; sisters-in-law: Germaine Jackson-Williams, Helena Jacobs, Dolly Clark, Laurna Buchannan, Imelda Richards and Allison Richards; brothers-in-law:Elmond Richards and Sunny Archibald; aunts:Eileen James, Viola Williams and Annie Lewis; and uncles:John Williams and George Williams. Other survivors include cousins:Deputy Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Dr. Samuel Daniel, Wilmot Daniel, David, Levi, Hazel, Bernard, Molton, Agatha, Elma, Lyndon, Ottnel, Tyrone, Reford, Claudette, Alganett, Glasworth and Gretel Williams; friends: Wycliffe Andrew, Magdalene Smith, Fernella Graham, Leona Moore, Clothilda Cameron, Angela Williams, Jackie Chesterfield, Angela and Bryan Emanuel, McKenzie Penn, Alfonzo Morrishaw, Carl Blake, Cavell Joseph, Netta Roberts, Rosie Walters and Pastor Evans Thomas; Extended family members: Camella Tongue, and the Smith, Farquhar, Simon and Joseph families; godchildren: Lorraine and Desmond Larocque; and many other family and friends too numerous to mention.
Ronie is gone from this world but would always be close to the heart of all who knew her…Rest in Peace!
The viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 2, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, at Zion Assembly in Lindberg Bay. The interment will be in Eastern Cemetery.
