June 26, 2009 The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority will be steam blowing between noon and 4 p.m. Friday, a release from the authority said.
Plant personnel will be clearing a line that was repaired on Unit No. 21the waste heat recovery boiler. The public will hear several short blasts while the blowing is in progress; however, there is no cause for alarm, the release said. WAPA will adhere to all environmental standards for this procedure.
