May 28, 2009 – John David Roberts Sr., also known as "Yacub," of Estate Two Brothers died on May 25. He was 59 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Joycelyn Roberts; mother, Celia Seeley; sons: John Roberts Jr., Marcus Roberts, Kareem Rasheed, Jameel and Salim Yacub; grandchildren: Indya Marie Roberts and Jahdayjah Yacub; sisters: Simona Mauricette and Liz; and brothers: Peter Roberts, Greggory and David Roberts. He is also survived by daughters-in-law: Adrienne Searight, Sherica John, Melissa Marshall and Elizabeth; cousins: Linda Roberts, Roger, Juny, Lira Hamilton, Davidson, Daren, Titia Smith, and Virginia, Angella and Clevana Charlemage, Fenola Francios and David Smith; special friends: Grace, Catherine, Laurel, Andre, Turtle, Delgado and the plaza crew; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, June 4, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
