CBCC Forum Will Introduce Storm-Water Engineer to Public

The Coral Bay Community Council will hold a forum at 6:30 p.m., on Monday, May 18, at Sputniks in Coral Bay. The program will introduce Joe Mina, the newly hired storm water engineer under the $300,000 EPA CARE grant. There will be a discussion of the objectives and timeframes of the grant. Everyone in the community is a "partner" in this grant, as well as local government and federal agencies.
Free professional assistance will be available to property owners for the next two years. Ideas from the audience about the most important storm water run-off and other pollution problems for Coral Bay will also be encouraged. Possible solutions and other grants and things we all can do to improve the environment will also be discussed. Sputniks will have rotis and drinks for sale, and there will be a social time afterwards. If it rains, the program will be held inside.
For more information, call the CBCC office at 776-2099.
