Roads Paved With Good Intentions

Dear Source:
Crushed glass used in paving? OK if we could get paving done at all that's not stop gap or pothole gap, there's no money for paving roads so having materials for paving is well not such a good idea because we have to then create a crushed glass dump. The realties are simple recycling is a great idea if one has all the other things nessicary to use the materials produced. I see the band wagons in full swing on this rah rah lets do this or let's do that, good ideas, sound thinking but with a fatal flaw an expectation of funds for paving being appropriated, a company that has used glass as a paving material, and cooperation of those profiting from our current paving materials, you know the ones that do paving.
Quite like the need for a tire shredder that sits unused here on St Croix, a glass crusher will just be another red herring sitting someplace busily using power to create a big pile of material that no one knows how to use and or cant profit from its use.
When you go green you have to realize that usually it implementation is a luxury we have seen the houses made from bottles made by someone who wants to recycle and be green but our reality is our houses are made of block and our roads made of asphalt the reason is cost.
