Combating Illegal Guns

Dear Source:
I am from the VI and live in Florida and I think the Virgin Islands need to look into the Florida Law (10-20-LIFE) that was passed in 1999. That way regardless of who you are or know, they will all get the same sentence. It's a shame how all the violent gun crimes keep happening and some of these criminals get away with a slap on the wrist. What's worst is that they have these strict laws and regulations for the people who want to get a gun legally to protect themselves and their families from these criminals, but its easy for the criminals to get guns on de street and get away with these crimes. If you going be strict on the owning of guns legally be strict on the possession of Illegal guns.
