March 9, 2009 – Walter Tanner died on March 5, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 86 years old.
He is survived by his spouse, Sylvia Tanner; sister: Geraldine (Tanner) Farrell; sons: Walter, Kenneth, Kelvin, Kenrick, Keith, Kurt Tanner, Jerome Cuthbert and Trevor Charles; brothers: Kenrick and Edwin Tanner; and uncle, Ephraim Jarvis. He is also survived by granddaughters: Keisha, Kandice, Krystal, Jana and Kelline Tanner, Nicole Matas, and Julissa and Jorell Cuthbert; great-granddaughter, Milani Butt; grandsons: Kelvin, Keith Jr., Kenrick Edwin Tanner, Jay Cuthbert, Roger and Joel Charles, and Kenrick, Edwin and Walter Tanner; special friends: Richard Ohalloran and Albert Maillard; and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., on Thursday, March 12, at the Beeston Hill Wesleyan Holiness Church. Interment will follow at the Kingshill Cemetery.
