VIPD Begins Town Meetings

Jan. 30, 2009 – The Virgin Islands Police Department will begin hosting a series of town meetings on St. Thomas, St. John and St. Croix throughout 2009. The meetings will provide a forum for the residents to obtain valuable information regarding safety and an opportunity to express their concerns directly to police brass, according to a press release from Police Commissioner James H. McCall.
"We hope these meetings will help strengthen the relationship between the community and the VIPD and give residents the information they need to make their community safer," Commissioner McCall said.
The first town meeting will be held from 6-9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Eulalie Rivera Professional Development Elementary School in Grove Place. Residents of Croixville, Lorraine Village, Mutual Homes and Grove Village are strongly encouraged to attend. Other St. Croix residents are also welcome to attend.
