Essential Phone Number List Released For St. Thomas

Jan. 30, 2009 — The Community Integration Team, a partnership between the Police Department and the public sector, now has a list of who-to-call numbers for St. Thomas, Water Island and St. Croix. Two weeks ago, it issued a similar list for St. John.
St. Croix resident Judi Fricks, a CIT member who previously served as the St. Croix group's chairman, said the lists have their roots in the need by one CIT member to find out who to call when organizing a trash cleanup.
"There are a lot of gray areas," Fricks said.
The goal of the lists is to empower the community so they knew who to call, Fricks said.
