Ackley Media Group Sponsors Economic Recovery Fair

Sept. 24, 2008 – Ackley Media Group takes the lead in addressing the high cost of energy in the Virgin Islands with its "Economic Recovery Fair, Things We Can Do." It will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday, Sept. 27, at Tutu Park Mall, St. Thomas. The focus of the fair is to provide cost effective "can do" solutions people can apply to their everyday lives.
Participants such as the V.I. Energy Office, WAPA and various alternative energy businesses will be providing solutions and energy conservation tips, information and demonstrations. There will be business and financial counseling, "stress busting" techniques through arts and crafts as well as health and wellness participants.
The highlight will be the Town Hall meeting, moderated by Lee V. and Sam Topp, from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with panelist Alex Moorhead representing Hovensa, Nellon Bowery of WAPA, Lisa Moorhead on the Hess Agreement, and community activist Clarence Payne. A 10-minute question-and-answer session will follow each panelist's presentation. The meeting will be aired live on Radio One AM 1000 from Tutu Park Mall.
