Post Offices Will Close for Labor Day, Some Also Close Saturday

Aug. 30, 2008 – The Postal Service observes Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 1, as a holiday. All Virgin Islands post offices will be closed. There will be no regular mail delivery, except for express mail. No mail will be collected from collection mailboxes.
Because of the traditional decrease in holiday weekend customer demand, some offices will also be closed on Saturday, Aug. 30, while others will have adjusted retail hours on Friday, Aug. 29, and Saturday, Aug. 30, according to a press release from the United States Postal Service.
The following offices will be open with revised hours on Friday, Aug. 29, and Saturday, Aug. 30. All other V.I. post offices will be closed all day on Friday and Saturday.
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to noon
St. John Post Office, 100 Vester Gade, Cruz Bay, USVI 00830
Sunny Isle Station, 4500 Sunny Isles Ste. 49, Cruz Bay, USVI 00823
Frederiksted Post Office, 1 Mars Hill, St. Croix, USVI 00840
Friday: 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday: 7:30 a.m. to noon.
Charlotte Amalie Main Post Office, 9846 Estate Thomas, St. Thomas, USVI 00801
Kingshill Post Office, 2 Estate La Reine, Kingshill, USVI 00850
Extensive postal information including access to many postal service products and services is available online at www.usps.com. Normal postal retail operations and mail delivery service will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 2.
