What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

Aug. 27, 2008 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1-3 p.m., on Sunday, Aug. 31. This Sunday we will feature music by Randy Newman, Robyn Ludwick, Van Morrison, Mamou Playboys, David Bromberg, Al Green and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Harps and Angels," the latest release from the outstanding songwriter Randy Newman. Musical greatness runs in the DNA of the Newman family, which has provided generation after generation of musical talent. Randy Newman is both a Grammy and Oscar winner.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "Too Much Desire" from Texas artist Robyn Ludwick. Ludwick is the sister of Texas artists Bruce and Charlie Robison and has released a fine CD of original material.
We play new music from Van Morrison, Rita Chiarelli, Jonathan Byrd, David Bromberg and more.
We also play music from Tom Russell, Steve Riley and the Mamou Playboys, Otis Taylor and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of Chris Whiteley, blues artist Joanna Connor, former Squeeze member Glen Tilbrook, Spider John Koerner, Jerry Allison of the Crickets and Andy Stein of the Commander Cody Band.
We include music from Al Green, who will be appearing at the Reichhold Center on Oct. 11, and music from Joe Ely, who will appear at Tillett Gardens on Jan. 21, 2009.

We give away CDs from Al Green and from former Phish member Mike Gordon.
