Reporting and Orientation Schedule for St. John Schools

Aug. 16, 2008 – St. Thomas-St. John District Superintendent of Schools Jeanette Smith-Barry advises parents and guardians of the reporting schedule for public schools on the island of St. John. "Parents and guardians of public school students are advised that the 2008-2009 school year officially begins on Monday, Aug. 25, 2008," said Smith-Barry. "Parents are further advised of the mandatory requirement to have children immunized, to accompany children to the scheduled orientations, and to ensure that children are properly attired in the school uniform.
The reporting/orientation schedules are as follows:
Guy Benjamin School
Monday, Aug. 25 at 9 a.m.
All students in kindergarten through grade 6 to report.
All parents must accompany students to the orientation sessions and be prepared to pay for various fees. Students will remain at school following the orientations for instruction.
Julius E. Sprauve School
Thursday, Aug. 21
All teachers and paraprofessionals report to the school at 8 a.m. for an important staff development session.
*****Orientation for parents will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the Westin Resort, St. John
