Housing, Parks and Recreation Asks Sports Organizations to Register

May 15, 2008 – Commissioner St. Claire Williams is asking all sporting organizations, clubs and youth activity programs to register and submit their schedules to the department as soon as possible. The registration should include the name of the organization, contact person, address, e-mail address, target age group, and the sport of interest, according to a press release from the Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation.
This is the first attempt by the DHPR to gather such information and to provide a comprehensive guide of sporting activities while providing exposure to many. Williams believes this will be a great opportunity to expose the public to the individuals who organize and excel in their sports.
All registrations should be faxed to 774-4600, or contact Latoya Dyer or Dorn Armstrong at 774-0255.
