Jan. 22, 2008 The St. Thomas Abattoir is canceling its services during the week of Jan. 22-25, due to severe flooding conditions at the Estate Nadir facility. Livestock will not be accepted or slaughtered this week, according to a press release from Commissioner of Agriculture Louis E. Petersen Jr.
The Department regrets any inconvenience that this may cause. Services are expected to resume during the following week.
