Bringing Things Out into the Light

Dear Source:
What an in depth, intelligent and well-thought out letter to The Source. You hit the nail on the head in numerous areas–facts as well as perceptions that can and should not be ignored in the many complicated areas and issues that have surfaced in our Virgin Islands.
This is very important free expression necessary to bring subjects to the forefront, unfortunately often spoken of behind closed doors and consequently never questioned. This allows us all as human beings to examine ourselves…our perspectives; limited thinking; biases and judgments. It affords us to take a good look in the mirror-should we chose to- and see how we must open up our vision and right the wrongs which hold us all back in our progress.
This is good–though often somewhat painful. "Love one Another" is the greatest rule of all. To be able to look at how we DON'T helps us learn to change our attitudes internally and consequently behavior so we CAN. Like they say "change is an inside job" that begins with self-awareness. Mr. Clark has given all of us something to deeply think about and reflect on.
Keep up the good work, as well, St. John Source, in providing this forum for all of us to dialog with one another.
Bonny Corbeil
St. John

Editor's note: We welcome and encourage readers to keep the dialogue going by responding to Source commentary. Letters should be e-mailed with name and place of residence to source@viaccess.net.
