Dear Source:
The Fifth Constitutional Convention has indeed been an interesting ride. Even though I was unsuccessful in my bid to be a delegate, I never got off that ride. It was with great interest and fascination that I've tracked the progress of all the events that led us to 10:00 AM on October 29, 2007 where I'm tuning into the swearing in of the delegates.
What can I say but best of luck to all the delegates. You have an amazing task ahead of you. I am confident that if you are truly in this for the best interests of the US Virgin Islands that you will create a document that we can all live with.
Delegates, please remember that the people of the US Virgin Islands are with you. Do not be afraid to let us know what is going on. Do not be afraid to ask us our opinions. Especially do not be afraid to use us as a resource. Good luck and god speed.
