Alert: Public-Assistance Benefits Delayed Until Tuesday

Sept. 28, 2007 — Public-assistance benefits normally issued on the first of each month will not be available until Tuesday, according to Christopher Finch, commissioner of the Department of Human Services.
"The commissioner regrets any inconvenience this may cause," said a news release from the department.
