Brief: Schools to Reopen Tuesday After Water Main Problem

Sept. 24, 2007 — Schools closed because of a broken water main will reopen Tuesday, according to Lisa A. Hassell-Forde, insular superintendent for the St. Thomas-St. John school district.
"Students and staff of the Joseph Gomez, E. Benjamin Oliver and Bertha C. Boschulte Schools are asked to report at their regularly scheduled times," she said, according to a Department of Education news release. "The Water & Power Authority (WAPA) has concluded its work on the broken potable water main and the system will be in full operation at the three affected campuses."
