Is There Really Any Representation for St. Croix?

Dear Source:
During Thursday's legislative session, Senator James made remarks on the senate floor that 'obviously' STX voters thought enough of six STX senators to reelect them on 11/08/06 for 'getting the job done'. Unfortunately on 12/28/06 four of the elected STX senators lost our trust by their actions on Act 6905. No response has been given to the voting public for their eleventh hour action other than, 'we need to move on' or 'back-off'. I am quite sure 4,500 informed voters will not make the same mistake next year when choosing STX representatives.
Senators Russell, Serville, James and Baptiste took great exception on the senate floor that STX residents are now calling upon STT senators for action and questions because the four STX named senators are not responsive to what STX residents want and need. Reason being they simply do not listen to us, do not return phone calls or e-mails or even have staff answer their office phones on a regular basis during 'working (?) office' hours!
We are tired of the lawyerly rhetoric, petulant juvenile rhetoric, gruff rhetoric and angry rhetoric being spoken on the senate floor accomplishing absolutely nothing. Most of our STX senators are in the minority so more of their time is spent complaining about the majority than solving problems on STX or finding compromising, productive working relationships resulting in solutions for all of our islands.
Hopefully, our STT senators and our STX senators in the majority, will look out for all islands on a fair and equitable basis because we clearly have four STX senators who are only looking out for themselves or to pander to their special interest groups or weekly radio audience.
