Sept. 20, 2007 — Police said the death of an unidentified man found with multiple stab wounds in a residence in Anna's Retreat was a homicide.
In a statement Thursday morning, police spokesperson Monyka Johnigan said, "Officers from Patrol, Investigations, and Forensic units responded to the scene after a man called 911, saying he found his friend dead inside a residence."
Johnigan said the police had been called at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim, reportedly between 20 and 30 years old, had been dead for at least 24-hours when police found him, according to Johnigan. However, official autopsy reports are expected to determine cause and exact time of death, she said.
The victim was found lying face down on the living room floor. Johnigan said Thursday afternoon the name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
