Become Part of the Solutions, Mr. Browne

Dear Source:

Of course, I've read "Tough Choices, Tough Times" and recommended it to the governor over a year ago and included it in the five part series on education that I wrote and was published back in January. It is far more than a scathing criticism of education in the U.S. – it spells out the kind of changes that Dr. Spampinato hopes to develop if she is given a chance.
Let's hope Mr. Browne is secure enough in his own person to help his staff and students avoid tough times in favor of enlightened educational programs. I would also hope that he would call the commissioner designate and schedule an appointment where he can air his concerns and find out the facts of her previous experiences and then move on to be a part of the solutions instead of unprofessionally using the public forums to share his disgruntlement.
