July 3, 2007 Recruitment has begun for qualified individuals interested in joining the V.I. Department of Education's team as a teacher. Applicants are urged to submit all necessary documentation for timely processing, according to a press release from the Department of Education's Human Resources Division.
HR Director Alscess Lewis-Brown said, "We are now at the peak of our recruitment year. It is an extremely busy time for the division as we continue to focus on filling positions in several critical areas, as well as ensuring that the necessary coverage of teachers for all territorial schools is complete. Therefore, in an effort to expedite the employment process, we are asking teacher applicants who have begun the process or those that have indeed received offers to submit their final documents at once. Once individual files are complete the HR staff can progress toward getting new teachers on line to receive benefits and pay with the regular payroll cycles as the school year begins. Applications will not be processed for individuals with incomplete files."
HR offices are open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
