June 20, 2007 – Laurel Jeffers, better known as "Sleepy," of Mariandahl died on June 15, at age 48.
He is survived by his daughter, Naomi Jeffers; brother, David Crooke; sister, Althea Jones; nephew, Clifford Crooke; and niece-in-law, Amelia Crooke. He is also survived by cousins: Myron Nichols and Merris Nisbett; close friends: Refiel Evelyn, Orville Isaac, Myron Williams, Irene Soldieu, Beryl Thomas and Clive Huggins, as well as other relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing held from 9-10 a.m., on Friday, June 22, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel, to be followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., in the chapel. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
