Transfer Day Events to Be Held
The Transfer Day Committee invites the public to join in the observance of the 90th anniversary of the transfer of the Virgin Islands from the Danish West Indies to the United States of America.
A community cultural night of quelbe and quadrille dancing will be held from 5-9 p.m., on Friday, March 30, at the Emancipation Garden. It will feature performances by the Lockhart Elementary and Prophecy Elementary School Quadrille Dancers, along with the Mungo Niles Cultural Dancers and the St. Thomas Heritage Dancers. Milo's Kings along with the St. Croix Educational Complex Quelbe Band will provide musical accompaniment. A quadrille "line dance" will highlight the evening's activities with St. Croix's own Bradley Christian doing the calling. The master of ceremonies will be Leo Moron.
For more information, contact Myron Jackson at 776-8605.
