There Need to Be Direct Flights to St. Croix

Dear Source:
I would like to take this opportunity to express my own personal experience while traveling to and from the US Virgin Island of St. Croix.
St. Croix's tourism industry suffers due to the lack of direct flights from the Northeaster states of the USA and from other worldwide ports. It is unfortunate that flights from Boston, New York, Providence or Hartford, CT fly to Puerto Rico then you have to walk a mile to the other end of the terminal to pick up an American Eagle Flight departing to St. Croix. American Eagle is usually overbooked, late or your baggage is not handled properly.
Why would tourists want to visit St. Croix when there are direct non-stop flights to St. Thomas? Travel to St. Croix results in a full day lost coming and going to the island.
I am not the only one that feels this way but due to my business venture, Island Winds, I have to use the present flight schedules.
While on St Croix I hear the tourists talking negatively about the travel time and imposition. Very truly yours,
Bill Fennelly
Mendon, Mass./St. Croix
