Fate of Dog That Attacked Woman Is Clear

Dear Source:
In response to the article on the mixed breed pit bulls that attacked a woman on Estate Harmony Rd. and killed one of her dogs, there should be no question as to what the fate should be for these dogs. Obviously they are vicious dogs and are a threat to the community. As far as requiring pet owners to get liability insurance if they own a vicious breed dog, good luck. I truly doubt you will find an insurance company to write any liability insurance for anyone who owns a vicious breed dog whether it is full breed or mix breed. There is a vicious dog list that most standard insurance companies use and it includes Pit bulls, Akitas, Doberman Pinschers, Chows, Rottweilers, Great Danes, and some include German Shephards. I am a former resident of St. Croix and am now living in Key Largo, Fl, and work in the insurance industry. In Dade County Florida Pit Bulls are outlawed and you cannot own one in the county. What a horrible experience this woman went through let alone her poor dog. Being an animal lover I just can't even imagine. Some say that a dog is only as vicious as its owner makes it. When it comes to Pit Bulls I do not agree as I believe these animals are vicious by nature. And then you have the dog fighting…What a crime that is.
