Hospital Enters Into Partnership with Vericom

Feb. 1, 2006 – Roy L. Schneider Regional Medical Center has partnered with Vericom Corporation, an expert in the field of healthcare communications, to customize messages for those callers who are on-hold.
Through its SoundCare product, callers on-hold will now hear important information about the hospital's service lines, health and wellness issues, and community relations efforts. The messages are being played in both English and Spanish, and will be updated monthly.
"While we look for ways to avoid placing callers on hold, SoundCare is an opportunity for us to engage and educate our callers with timely and relevant health information," said Cindy Roberts, supervisor of communications at the medical center.
Michael Burton, public information director, said SoundCare "will be a key component of our marketing and public relations efforts, by promoting our health service lines the community may not realize we have."
