I am an annual winter visitor to St. Croix and an employee of Flower City Habitat for Humanity in Rochester, NY. I have been wondering why there was no Habitat for Humanity affiliate in the U.S.V.I. since decent, affordable housing seems so elusive for residents. I am thrilled to learn of the establishment of Habitat USVI on St. Thomas. Volunteering to build houses or work behind the scenes on publicity, securing in-kind or cash donations, making presentations to groups and organizing house sponsors is a wonderful way one can serve one's community. And the homeowners are an inspiration! Best of luck!
