A recent study was done comparing coral growing near Frederiksted to coral growing around Butler Bay which proves raw sewage plays a major role in our coral die off. Most of the coral near Frederiksted is dead or dying and infected with bacteria related to raw sewage while most of the coral at Butler Bay is still healthy. To not go with a wetlands solution to our present sewage problems would be as ludicrous and criminal as our foolhardy generation of electricity [and global warming, which also kills coral] from increasingly unaffordable oil.
