Sept. 8, 2005 – Greg Davis, 46, of Estate Peters Rest died in a mower accident on Thursday.
According to a police report, the department received a call about 11:16 a.m. about an accident at the D.C. Canegata Ballpark, in Christiansted, where a man riding a mower fell into a gut.
The report further stated that investigation revealed the rider was a Department of Housing. Parks And Recreation employee. The gut is located on the west side of the ballfield, the mower fell into an area that is about nine feet deep and capsized on top of the operator.
Emergency medical technicians responded to the scene and transported the man, who was not responsive, to the Juan Luis Hospital emergency room, where he was pronounced dead.
