St. Croix to Host Annual Conference of the Museum Association of the Caribbean

Sept. 8, 2005 – The Museum Association of the Caribbean is the Caribbean's museum professionals' association, and it has accepted the St. Croix Landmarks Society's offer to host its annual meeting and conference at the Estate Whim Museum in Frederiksted from Oct. 25 – 27. The association will be discussing how museums and cultural institutions handle disasters.
2005 will be the first time the meeting has been in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The society is sending out invitations to all museums. Registration is $50 per person, and membership is $20 per person or $100 per institution.
