Education Department Has Receptions for New Teachers

Aug. 23, 2005 – The VI Department of Education will welcome new teachers at the annual New Teacher Welcome Receptions. The events are collaborative efforts of the department and its many private sector partners.
The department announced in a press release that this year the St. Thomas reception, sponsored by the St. Thomas-St. John Chamber of Commerce, would serve as the August Business After Hours. It will be held on Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Innovative Business Complex located at Tutu Park Mall from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The St. Croix event will be held at Government House on Friday, Aug. 26, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Only the St. Thomas reception is open to the general public.
To confirm your attendance at the events, on St. Thomas call Janet Lettsome at 774-0100, ext. 3100, and on St. Croix call Brenda Grey at 773-1095, ext. 357.
