Turnbull Nominates For CZM, Tax Review Board

July 30, 2005 – Gov. Charles W. Turnbull Friday nominated two to the V.I. Board of Tax Review and five to the St. John Coastal Zone Management Commission.
Turnbull nominated Verne Callwood, Sr., St Thomas resident and former tax assessor, to replace Mel Plaskett who is deceased, and St. Croix resident associate professor of accounting Francisco Depusoir to replace attorney Ronald Russell whose term has expired. The term of appointment is two years,
His five nominations to the St. John Coastal Zone Management Commission include three first time members. Edmund E. Roberts, supervisory park ranger for the V.I. National Park, who will replace Thomas F. Matthias whose term has expired.
Co-owner/manager of Mahogany Tree Villa, Gerald H. Hills, has been named to replace L Brian Morisette whose term has expired, and Andrew D. Penn, Sr., chief operating officer for Penn's Corporations, who will replace Marquise C. James. The term of appointment is two years.
The persons renominated are Madaline H. Sewer, site coordinator for Beacon Center, and Julien A. Harley, Administrator of St. John. Both will serve two years if approved by the Senate,
"It is a pleasure to ask the advice and consent of the 26th Legislature on these nominations," Turnbull said in a press release announcing the news.
