Two More Friends Have Fond Memories of Per Dohm

We lived next door to
Per and Lynn for many, many years on Ridge Road. We left St Thomas in 1996 after Marilyn came thru, but have always stayed in touch with friends still there. We knew Per had been ill for quite awhile and are saddened to hear he is now gone.
Per was one of the kindest, calmest and most sincere people we have had the pleasure of calling not only a neighbor, but also"friend." I remember when Lynn told us she was going to have a baby… Per just had the sweetest smile on his face and after Eric was born … he was definitely a proud "papa." I remember at times a group of us would get together, throw money in a hat and talk Per into taking us out on the boat at night for a full moon cruise….or from Red Hook into town for the Carnival fireworks. Or all of us boarding up the houses to ride out the hurricanes that rolled over us too many stories to tell. I'm glad we had the chance to know him…he will be missed.
