Funeral Thursday for Agatha Maria Benjamin

April 4, 2005 — Funeral services are set for Agatha Maria Benjamin, age 88, of Flamboyant Gardens, who died Friday, April 1 at her residence.
Benjamin is survived by her son, Rueben E. Smith Sr., daughters, Rita I. Brunstroff, Ruebina S. McBean, Rhenita S. Charles, Elfreda L. Smith, Alda M, Francis and Rose Marie Knight; adopted daughter; Rev, Eleanor Ross; adopted daughter and caretaker; Vernareen O'Reilly; grandchildren, Garret Browne, Luctno Serrano, Rita Jean Malphus, Charmaine Wallace-Williams, Alysa McBean-Schoonmaker, Azalea McBean-Macedon, Valarie Charles, Debra and Ronald O'Brien, Donna Thompson, Bernice Francis, Rena Francis-Hendrickson, Shawn D. Francis, Leslie James Jr., Reuben Smith Jr., Shelva, Cliffroy and Alvin Smith; sisters, Helen Benjamin and Lucinda Benjamin; brother: Rev. Ulric E. Benjamin Sr.; nieces, Alice Belardo, Cindy T. Webb, Angeli M. Benjamin, Cecile L. George, Beatrice Benjamin-Gumbs, Ruth D, Benjamin and Alma I. Mitchell; nephews, Ulric E. Benjamin Jr., Lorenzo Walcott and Warren "Spitter" Walcott; special great niece, Yvonne Sobratti; special great nephew, Clint Sobratti; daughters-in-law, Norma J. Smith and Mary E. Serrano; sister-in-law, Ruth Rissing Benjamin; brothers-in-law, DeVinci "Tino" Francis, Donavan Thompson, Clemence Hendrickson Jr. and Leo Macedon; 20 Great Grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; three great nieces; eight great nephews; special cousins and friends, Maria King, Ina King Isaac, Roy and Essie King, Joseph King and family, Howard "Dell" O'Reilly, Kathleen Lewis, Mary Lewis, Marie Begraff, Gladys Thompson, James Coppin, Olympia Petersen , Hilarena James, Mary Henry, John and Maria Finder, Doreen Henry, Mrs. Sweeney, Olive Fabio, Eugenic Evans, Mary Kent and the Staff and Residents of Flamboyant Gardens; other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will take place Thursday, April 7 at St. Ann's Catholic Church at 10:30 a.m. with viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m.. Interment will take place at Kingshll Cemetery.
