Second Homicide of the Year On St. Thomas

Feb. 7, 2005 – A 24-year-old St. Thomas man was shot to death and two others were injured Sunday in an early morning shooting in Savan. The deceased was a resident of Oswald Harris Court.
Police had yet to identify the victims as of Monday morning, pending notification of relatives, Sgt. Thomas Hannah, police spokesman, said.
A call came in to police at 4:14 a.m. Sunday reporting shots fired in the vicinity of the Palms Court Harbor View, Hannah said. When police arrived on the scene they found the three wounded men and rushed them to the Roy L. Schneider Hospital, where the 24-year-old later died. The other two men, who Hannah said are 22 and 23 years old, were treated and one was released. The other is listed in stable condition.
Police said they did not have a description of the suspects or any motive for the shooting.
The incident marks the fourth homicide for the year in the territory, the second on St. Thomas.
