Labor Department Restricts Services

Jan. 21, 2005 – The Labor Department will restrict services on certain days while employees attend a series of professional development workshops.
The Workers' Compensation and Labor Relations divisions will restrict services in both St. Thomas/St. John and the St. Croix districts on Jan. 24 and 25.
The Job Service and Training and Unemployment Insurance divisions will offer limited services on St. Croix only on Jan. 26 and 27.
The Job Service and Training and Unemployment Insurance divisions will offer limited services in the St. Thomas/St. John district on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
Full operations will resume, according to a release from the Labor Department, on Feb. 2.
The release did not describe the nature of the limited services, and calls placed to the department were not returned. It would be a good idea to call the offices if you have need of the services on those dates. On St. Thomas call 776-3700, ext. 2071. Call 773-1994 ext. 230 on St. Croix.
