'All My Children' Stars On Island for WTJX Fundraiser

Dec. 8, 2004 – The actors who play Babe Chandler and Jamie Martin on the hit ABC daytime soap All My Children will be visiting St. Thomas this weekend as part of a fundraising effort by public television WTJX-TV Channel 12/DT 44.
The station has announced events that will give the public an opportunity to hang with the two young stars, Alexa Havins and Justin Bruening, and help support V.I. public television at the same time!
On Saturday the two will be at Tutu Park Mall from 2 to 4 p.m. signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. From there they will move on to WTJX's Haypiece Hill studios for a cocktail fundraiser from 6 to 9 p.m.
What could be more fun for island soap fiends than to gaze out from the station's stunning hill-side perch at the west end of Charlotte Amalie and sip a relaxing cocktail while enjoying conversation with a TV star?
And for the late night crowd, "Babe" and "Jamie" will be winding up their appearances at Island Blitz.
Admission to Islands Blitz is $10, and the cocktail party – where there will be hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar – is $25. Shuttle service will be available from the parking lot at the bottom of Haypiece Hill near WAPA. For more information, call the station at 776-3004.
