Professor Appointed to Board of Nurse Licensure

Nov. 15, 2004 – Gov. Charles W. Turbull has appointed Assistant Professor of Nursing at the University of the Virgin Islands, Ophelia A. Powell Torres, to serve on the Board of Nurse Licensure. Torres, whose term of appointment is three years, replaces Lisa LaPlace who has resigned.
Governor Turnbull expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Ms. Torres for her willingness to serve the people of the Virgin Islands on this very important board.
