Services Saturday for Father, Veteran

May 26, 2004 – Veteran Eduardo Martinez- Rosario, "Nandy," age 74, of Hospital Street, died Friday, May 21, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital.
He is survived by his daughter Naomi Martinez; sons Edwardo "Eddie" Martinez (missing), and Eduardo "Dito" Martinez, II; adopted children Carlos Torres (Fla.), Denzil "Admiral" Dawkins (St. Thomas), Karen (Fla.), Clive and Everette Hutchinson (Jamaica); granddaughters Cordae'ja and Monae'ja Goodwin and Naomi Martinez; grandsons Jeron "Nandy" Goodwin (unborn), James Martinez and Samuel "Papito" Bonero (N.Y.); adopted grandchildren Charley and David Torres, Terrence Skerrette, Jr., Antonique Francis, Roynesha Browne, Roger Burton Jr., Raseem, Kareem and Destiny Hutchinson; sisters Maria "Trudy" Ayala-Rosario and Genara Ayala-Cruz (St. Thomas); brothers Juan "Colo" de la Cruz (PR), Victor Ayala (Puerto Rico) and Teodoro Ayala (Fla.); nieces Alicia Edwards, Delilah Aponte and Carmen Acelcio; nephew Rigoberto "Sharky" Gimenez; son-in-law Bevron Goodwin; special families and friends Merline "Do-Do" Simon, Chris Vivican, Angel "Compai" Encarnacion, Francisco "Pacito" Vasquez (PR), Morgan and Margo Dale, Luis Linquist, Romancito Rivera, Dorothea Vivican, Elroy "Double" Roberts, Vaugh Hendricks, Harols Willocks, Chenelle Cuencas, Cleoda and Colin Moorehead, Stephen and Kathy Phillips, Chuck and Jean Goodrich, Nela Baptiste, Gerald Taylor, Carlos Christian, Norman "Fiong" Nielsen, Negro and Doris Encarnacion and the entire Encarnacion family, the entire Moolenaar family, the Leonard family of Cooper Island and the entire Gallows Bay family; stepfather Isidoro Colorow Rivera (Fla.); ex-wife Ana Celia Martinez (FL); special childhood friends the Hansen family; special friends that are no longer with them includes the late Ted Dale and Jessica Tutein-Moolenaar and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Viewing will take place at James Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday, May 29, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Funeral services will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 1 p.m. Internment will take place at Kingshill Cemetery (Veteran Section).
Arrangements are by James Memorial Funeral.
