Stetson C. Carter, 61, better known as Carter of Amco Auto Sales, died on April 20, 2004 at his residence at 14-16 Bonne Resolution, St. Thomas.
He was born in Antigua and relocated to the Virgin Islands where he worked for Amco Auto Sales for several years. He left for Chicago where he worked at Toyota. He then returned to St. Thomas in 1989 and continued to work with Amco until his death.
He is survived by daughters, Jsheba and Ashanti Carter; brothers, Winston, Vernon, Walter and Ulyses Carter; sisters, Joan and Olive; special friend, Janice "JJ" Jeffersen; close friends, Charles Martin, Coxy Edwards, George LaFlore, Delvin Constant, Steadman Scotland, Uncle Percy and the Carter Family; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins including Percy Taylor, Norris Joseph and Lorna Heywood.
Funeral Services will be at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 6, 2004. Viewing is 9 to 10 a.m. with services to follow. Interment will be at Western Cemetery #3.
