Dear Source,
I was born on St. Croix but now live in Germany. I last visited in December 2002, and I was shocked to see how the island has gone down the drain. You can't hang out at the boardwalk at night any more because of crime. You have to pay close attention when driving because of the road conditions. There are almost no tourists walking around like before. What is the government doing for the islands? I felt so ashamed.
