CHILDREN RUN IN CHRISTIANSTED

April 25, 2004 – The Fifth Annual Children Run Christiansted will be held Friday, April 30, at 6 p.m. The race is for children 13 years of age and under. The race will start at the Sunday Market Square (Times Square) and finish at the Scale House on King Street. There is no entry fee for the 630-meter race.
Top finishers in two, age brackets, male and female, will pick up awards. Certificates will be given to all participants. The event is part of the Iron Man Jump Up, hosted by the Christiansted Restaurant and Retail Association, sponsored by Metro Motors and The Rehabilitation Center @ Beeston Hill. It is organized by the Virgin Islands Pace Runners. Schools are invited to enter teams of five runners each. Entry forms and information are available at Island Pace Runners or from the Virgin Islands Pace Runners at 777-0258. Volunteers are needed.
