Residents of Christiansted need to prepare for an interruption of water service on Tuesday. The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority, due to the ongoing construction and repairs of the Times Square area in downtown, is terminating service to a 12-inch water main.
The Authority has scheduled a potable water interruption for Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a large section of Christiansted
According to a press release, water service could be terminated to customers from Market Street to Tide Village. Customers may just experience low pressure and water interruptions while WAPA switches service to another line.
