'ACTING GOVERNOR' TURNBULL IS IN CHARGE

March 15, 2004 – While Gov. Charles W. Turnbull and Lt. Gov. Vargrave Richards are off island this week, Finance Commissioner Bernice Turnbull is acting governor, according to a Government House release issued on Monday.
House release said on Monday.
Turnbull and Richards are attending the 2004 Seatrade Cruise Shipping Convention in Miami Beach, Fla. The event opened Monday and runs through Thursday. (See "Cruise industry Seatrade convention coming up".)
The release said the governor is expected to return to the territory early next week. It made no mention of Richards' planned return.
